Thoughts

My husband and I finally walked up the hill to see where the orchard had been. It was devastating. All the trees are down in the field and along the lane. I lamented when I saw the spot where we were married laid so low. But I guess we move on. At least The Sonoma Land Initiative, Salmon Creek Watershed, and North Coast Water Coalition keep up the good fight. Those of you in Sonoma County should respect your land, your neighbors, and your loved ones...not everywhere is so kind, beautiful, and pleasant as our Sonoma.

(Also, if anyone is looking for a pet, and has the heart, check the Santa Rosa pound; those animals really need you! They are not as humane as some other facilities.)

Sad news...the apple orchard has been torn down, the old school is closing, and values are shifting for the worse. Let's hope a positive shift in economics and ecology happens. My opinion of West Sonoma County is that it is the loveliest place on the earth.
